Essential information to help you perfectly plan your stay.
Is Villa Bagatelle a convenient stopover to break up a journey on the Autoroute du Soleil?
- Absolutely. Located just 3 minutes from the A7 and M7 motorway exits south of Lyon, our Villa offers an oasis of absolute peace and security (enclosed private parking within the property grounds) for travellers wishing to break up their journey down South without diverting from their itinerary.
Do you host guests for wedding nights or romantic getaways?
- Villa Bagatelle is an idyllic setting for wedding nights and romantic escapes. The historic backdrop of our 1900 mansion, its antique furniture collection, and its 2-hectare parkland offer a timeless sanctuary of refinement, elegance, and privacy. Upon request, we can arrange a private dinner in one of our salons or a bespoke photoshoot with a professional photographer (https://philippinechauvin.com/) at a preferential rate.
Is the Hotel-Museum suitable for business travellers and corporate executives?
- Yes, we offer a prestigious alternative to conventional chain hotels for corporate professionals. With high-speed Fibre Wi-Fi, writing desks in the rooms, and immediate proximity to the major industrial and business hubs of Solaize, Feyzin, Irigny, Pierre-Bénite, Saint-Fons, Saint-Genis-Laval, and Brignais, the Villa seamlessly combines work with an exceptional heritage setting. Early breakfast can be served from 6:30 am upon request.
What is the concept of 'repaysement' offered at Villa Bagatelle?
- Unlike traditional 'dépaysement' (exoticism), which seeks an escape elsewhere, 'repaysement' is a concept we created to invite you to reconnect with yourself and the roots of French culture. Staying at the Villa means getting back in touch with our inner thoughts and cultural imagination: recharging your batteries in a listed Historic Monument, surrounded by fine art pieces from the École de Nancy, Orientalist, or Modernist movements, and rediscovering the early 20th-century French art of living—stepping into an entirely different world without having to travel thousands of miles.
